Who is the "Mathematics Magician," and why is he called that?

That is our founder and lead tutor, Olufemi Adebayo. He earned the nickname "Mathematics Magician" because of his extraordinary ability to break down the most complex mathematical problems into simple, visual, and almost magical steps. His teaching style involves unique mental shortcuts, real-life analogies, and an energetic delivery that makes you wonder, "Why didn't I see that before?" He doesn't just teach; he performs.

What age group or grade levels does the Academy cater to?

We cater to a wide range of learners. Our curriculum is designed for:

  • Primary Level: Grades 5 & 6 (Building foundational numeracy).

  • Secondary Level: Junior Secondary (JSS 1-3) and Senior Secondary (SSS 1-3).

  • Pre-University: Students preparing for WAEC, JAMB (UTME), SAT, and IGCSE.

  • Adults: We also offer remedial and professional refresher courses for adults returning to education.

How do I enroll my child or myself?

Enrolling is simple. Click on the "Register" or "Get Started" button on our homepage. You will fill out a short form detailing your current class and specific math challenges. Once submitted, you will receive a payment link. Upon confirmation, we will activate your student dashboard and send you the schedule for your Zoom classes.

What subjects do you teach, aside from Mathematics?

While Mathematics is our specialty (Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics), we also offer courses in Quantitative Reasoning, Basic Sciences (Physics and Chemistry for secondary levels), and General Problem-Solving Skills essential for entrance exams.

How is the curriculum structured?

We do not use a "one-size-fits-all" approach. Upon enrollment, we assess the student's current level. We then align our teaching with the specific syllabus they are using at school (e.g., Nigerian WAEC/NECO curriculum, British IGCSE, or American Common Core). We ensure we are complementing their schoolwork, not confusing them.

I am struggling with just one topic (e.g., Trigonometry). Can I join just for that?

Absolutely! We offer Topic-Specific Bootcamps. You can purchase a short module just to tackle the area you find difficult, rather than committing to a full-term course.

How do I attend the live classes?

All live classes are held via Zoom. Once you are enrolled, you will receive a secure link and a meeting ID via email and your student dashboard. Simply click the "Join Live Class" button 10 minutes before the session starts

What happens if I miss a live session?

Life happens, and we understand! We record all our Zoom masterclasses. These recordings are uploaded to your private Test Portal Dashboard within 24 hours. You can watch them later, pause, rewind, and re-watch as many times as you need to fully grasp the concept.

I have a poor internet connection. Can I still join?

Yes. We recommend turning off your video if the connection is laggy; you can still view the tutor's screen and hear the audio clearly. Alternatively, you can always wait for the recorded session to be uploaded and download it for offline viewing later.

Do I need a special device?

No. You can join our Zoom classes using a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. However, we recommend a device with a large enough screen (like a tablet or laptop) for the best experience when viewing mathematical equations and diagrams

Yes! To master mathematics, you must practice. After every live class, assignments are uploaded to the Test Portal. These are designed to take 20–30 minutes to complete.

Your assignments are graded automatically by our portal’s quiz engine OR manually by our teaching assistants. You receive instant feedback on your performance. Furthermore, Olufemi usually reviews common mistakes during the next live Zoom session.

You have direct access to our “Ask The Magician” forum on your dashboard. You can post your math questions there, and Olufemi Adebayo or his senior tutors will reply with a video or text explanation within 24-48 hours.

We value transparency. Every parent receives a monthly Progress Report via email detailing their child’s attendance, assignment scores, and overall understanding of the topics covered. You also have the option to sit in on the Zoom classes with your child!

Absolutely. Safety is our top priority. Our Zoom meetings are secured with unique passwords, and we have waiting rooms enabled. No unregistered participant can join. The chat feature is also monitored during sessions to ensure a respectful and focused environment.
